Episode 7 new time slot
Not just content with travelling through time, Doctor Who will be switching time slots for an upcoming episode.
On Sunday, November 18, ‘Kerblam!’, the seventh episode in Jodie Whittaker’s first series as the Doctor, will be shown at the earlier time of 6.30pm on BBC One, and it’s because of David Attenborough.
Attenborough’s new series Dynasties kicks off at 8pm that night, which has the added effect of Strictly Come Dancing‘s results being moved half an hour earlier (via RadioTimes).
‘Kerblam!’ will see the gang travel to the galaxy’s biggest shop, where there’s a message waiting for The Doctor.
But before that, we’ve got ‘Demons of the Punjab’. Written by Vinay Patel and directed by Jamie Childs, this Sunday’s instalment sees the Doctor and her companions travel back in time for their latest adventure.
The synopsis for that episode reads: “What’s the point of having a mate with a time machine, if you can’t nip back and see your gran when she was younger?” India, 1947. The Doctor and her friends arrive in the Punjab, as the country is being torn apart. While Yaz attempts to discover her grandmother’s hidden history, the Doctor discovers demons haunting the land. Who are they and what do they want?“
Shane Zaza, Amita Suman, and Hamza Jeetooa are among the guest stars.
After ‘Kerblam!’, episode 8 will see the Doctor, Yaz, Graham and Ryan embroiled in a witch trial in 17th century Lancashire (with guest star Alan Cumming playing King James I.)
