Christmas Special in Cinemas

Fathom Events & BBC Worldwide will be celebrating the festive season this year with a special 2-night Doctor Who event.

On December 27th and 29th, there will be a screening of the 2016 Doctor Who Christmas Special – The Return of Doctor Mysterio across the US in selected cinemas.

The 1 hour 30-minute screening will also include an exclusive introduction and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the special.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 18th.

Peter Capaldi will return as the Doctor accompanied by ‘companion’ Nardole played by Matt Lucas. They will be joined by an investigative journalist, played by Charity Wakefield (Wolf Hall, The Player) as they save New York from a deadly alien threat.

‘The Return of Doctor Mysterio’ will feature Doctor Who’s very own superhero, Grant played by Canadian actor Justin Chatwin (American Gothic).

The Christmas Special is written by Steven Moffat, Executive Produced by Brian Minchin, Produced by Peter Bennett and Directed by Ed Bazalgette (Poldark), it was shot in Cardiff at BBC Wales Roath Lock Studios.
